    SMS & Messaging

    How SMS notifications work, how to opt in or out, and our data-sharing policy for mobile information.

    Connection Companion sends SMS notifications to keep you informed about match scheduling, booking confirmations, and player coordination.

    How SMS works:

    • ·SMS messages are sent via Telnyx, our carrier partner, using US 10DLC-registered numbers.
    • ·You must explicitly opt in before any SMS is sent. Opting in is always voluntary.
    • ·Message frequency varies depending on your activity level.
    • ·Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

    Opting in:

    You can opt in to SMS during onboarding (e.g., the padel sign-up flow) or at any time from your account settings. Opt-in requires confirming your phone number and checking the SMS consent box that displays the verbatim consent language.

    Connecting Playtomic for Lumi bookings:

    If Lumi tells you that your Playtomic account needs to be connected or reconnected before booking a court, open https://connectioncompanion.com/account?tab=integrations. In the Account > Apps tab, connect Playtomic, then return to your WhatsApp or SMS conversation and send your request again.

    Opting out:

    Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe immediately. You can also remove your phone number from Settings > Notifications. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent.

    Getting help:

    Reply HELP to any message to receive a support message with contact information.

    Your mobile data:

    We will not share your mobile phone number or messaging information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Your number is used solely to deliver the notifications you signed up for. See our Privacy Policy at connectioncompanion.com/privacy for full details.
